Many of you have heard that DCYF, OEWD and other city departments will
be adopting new minimum quality standards for youth employment programs in 2010.
These standards were developed by a working group of the city's Youth
Council, made up of representatives from CBOs, businesses, and academia.
The goal of these standards is to improve the quality of services
provided to youth by city-funded programs.

If you'd like to learn more about what the standards are and how they
will impact city funding, YEC is hosting an open meeting to learn more
on December 3.  Glenn Eagleson from OEWD will join us to help agencies
better gauge where they are in terms of meeting the standards.

WHAT: Open meeting to learn more about the new Minimum Quality Standards
WHO: Youth employment professionals
WHEN: December 3, 11 a.m.
WHERE: JVS, 225 Bush Street, Suite 400
